Choose The Printing

Digital printing on silk is a direct method for transferring intricate digital designs onto fabric, suitable for complex artwork and imagery.
This technique offers a quick turnaround, with sample production taking approximately 7 to 10 days and mass production completing in roughly 15 to 20 days.
It supports low minimum order quantities (MOQ), starting at just 10 pieces per design, and can sometimes go lower.
However, digital printing has a limitation in ink penetration; the inks do not fully transfer through the fabric, resulting in a backside color vibrancy that is only about 50 to 60% as vivid as the front side.
Enhanced digital printing technology enables the creation of double-sided designs on fabric, offering a new dimension in textile printing.
This advanced method allows for the application of artwork on both the front and back of the material, presenting either a mirrored image or a completely distinct pattern, effectively doubling the visual impact with a single garment.
However, this double-sided digital printing requires a higher minimum order quantity, starting at 50 pieces per design, reflecting its more complex process.
Despite its benefits, this technique does come with drawbacks, including extended production timelines and increased costs compared to standard digital printing, which is something to consider when balancing quality with budget and turnaround time.
Screen printing offers a distinct advantage with its exceptional print clarity, delivering sharp and vivid imagery on both the front and back of the fabric, ensuring distinct lines and depth.
This method is renowned for its superior ink penetration, surpassing that of standard digital printing. It’s a favored choice among prestigious brands, such as Hermes, for its traditional and reliable printing quality.
Screen printing is recognized for its versatility, durability, and the vibrancy of colors that remain consistent even in large quantities, which can make it a cost-effective option for bulk orders.
However, it does come with certain requirements, including a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces per color, and an additional cost for screens, which is approximately 40 USD per color. These factors should be taken into account when considering screen printing for larger scale production needs.

Jacquard Fabric Weaves

What is Fabric Weaves

Fabric weaves are the intricate techniques used to intertwine fibers or threads, shaping the fabric’s texture, resilience, and visual attributes. These weaving methods are pivotal in crafting textiles, playing a paramount role in determining how the final material looks and feels. When customizing a bow tie, the fabric weave can increase the diversity of the design. With the same bow tie pattern design, using different fabric weaves, you will get two bow ties with different designs.

Different fabrics are distinguished by their production methods. Jacquard weave, known for its intricate patterns, is commonly used for creating textured tie fabrics. These fabrics feature raised designs that add depth and elegance to ties. Printed fabrics, on the other hand, involve applying patterns directly onto the fabric’s surface, allowing for endless design possibilities. Knitted ties are crafted by interlocking loops of yarn, resulting in a stretchy and textured material. These diverse production techniques give rise to a wide array of tie styles, suitable for various occasions and fashion preferences.

Weight: 10-19 momme, Width: 114/140 cm (1 momme = 4.34 gsm)

Silk crepe de chine is distinguished by its crepe texture, a result of its unique weaving process where the weft threads are interlaced with alternating left and right twists. This technique imparts the fabric with a subtle, wavy surface texture akin to fine scales. Characterized by a subdued sheen, a smooth touch, and excellent draping qualities, this fabric is breathable and resistant to wrinkles, ensuring a comfortable wear that’s both cool in summer and cozy in winter. It is characterized by its transparency and the presence of fine, evenly spaced holes, with a higher hole count per inch indicating superior quality. The fabric’s porosity makes it exceptionally breathable, allowing for excellent air circulation. Due to an acid treatment of the yarns prior to weaving, silk organza has a slightly firmer hand compared to traditional silks, offering a crispness that distinguishes it from the soft drape typically associated with silk.

Silk Herringbone (100% silk)

Weight: 10-19 momme, Width: 94/114/140 cm (1 momme = 4.34 gsm)

This fabric features a matte finish with a touch of elasticity, uniform luster and hue on both sides, and a subtle, bumpy surface texture. It boasts a more pronounced and distinct luster compared to silk crepe de chine. Typically woven in a loose construction, it is soft, drapes well, and possesses a slight stretch. Ideal for creating shirts, dresses, cheongsams, nightgowns, and scarves, silk double georgette offers a combination of comfort and elegance.

Silk Jacquard (100% silk)

Weight: 10-19 momme, Width: 94/114/140 cm (1 momme = 4.34 gsm)

Silk jacquard fabric is crafted through a specialized weaving technique where warp threads are selectively raised and lowered to create intricate patterns on the silk’s surface. This process, once the fabric undergoes dyeing or printing, results in varying reflections across the jacquard motifs compared to the rest of the fabric, establishing distinct color contrasts that lend a sense of depth and three-dimensionality. Characterized by its lightweight, soft, and breathable qualities, silk jacquard is well-suited for accessories like scarves, as well as home textiles such as bedding and pajamas. The jacquard weaving process allows for the customization of any design, with a minimum order quantity of 100 meters per pattern.

This fabric not only captures the drape, smoothness, and softness of silk but also offers enhanced durability, easy maintenance, and wrinkle resistance. More robust and lower in cost compared to silk twill, polyester twill is an economical choice suitable for gifts and promotional items. Polyester satin comes in various types, including glossy satin and matte satin, which closely emulate the look and feel of silk satin. These fabrics feature a shiny surface and a soft, smooth texture with excellent drapes. Compared to silk satin, polyester satin is machine-washable and resistant to wrinkles. Popular for its affordability and comfort, polyester satin is a favored fabric for scarves, often used in brand promotions as gift items or selected for uniforms by organizations such as banks, airlines, schools, and clubs. Despite its appeal, it’s important to note that while polyester satin offers a cost-effective alternative to silk, it may not match the natural breathability and moisture-wicking properties of silk.

Polyester Chiffon (100% polyester)

Thickness: 50D/75D (the higher the thicker), Width: 170/210 cm

Rayon is a semi-synthetic fiber made from natural cellulose, which gives it a soft, smooth texture and a slight sheen that can resemble silk. Wool twill fabric is distinguished by its weaving technique where the warp and weft yarns interlace at least once every two threads, creating a unique diagonal ribbed effect. This method, which varies the points of interweaving for the warp and weft, alters the fabric’s texture and appearance, making twill a favored choice among woolen textiles. This type of wool fabric is relatively thin, yet it’s well-suited for fashioning neck or head scarves. Twill wool boasts a denser construction compared to plain weave, offering a combination of thickness, softness, and enhanced durability. The diagonal lines give it a more textured and dynamic look, adding depth and character to the fabric’s surface.

Wool Herringbone (100% wool)

Thickness: 60/80/100 Yarns Count (the lower the thicker), Width: 140 cm

Herringbone weave fabric, with its alternating twill lines that reverse every few rows, creates a distinctive zig-zag pattern that adds visual depth and texture. This luxurious woolen textile, akin to Hermès’ herringbone cashmere, is thicker and more premium than standard wool fabrics, making it ideal for creating scarves that offer both warmth and elegance in the colder seasons. The pronounced herringbone texture is especially flattering for designs with dark colors and intricate patterns, allowing the fabric’s rich interwoven structure to enhance the scarf’s aesthetic appeal and tactile experience.
